Selain warnanya yang berwarna warni dan kepelbagai rasa menjadikan ia sesuai untuk juadah pencuci mulut. Dari kerap membeli, apa kata anda sediakan sendiri menu ini dan ia boleh disimpan lama dalam peti sejuk. Jimat dan terjamin kebersihannya.

AGAR-AGAR CENDOL

 BAHAN A : LAPISAN CENDOL

  • 750ml air
  • 170gm gula
  • 10gm agar-agar
  • 250ml santan
  • 1 sudu makan tepung jagung
  • Cendol secukupnya

BAHAN B: LAPISAN GULA MELAKA

  • 750ml air
  • 250gm gula melaka | diracik halus
  • 10gm agar-agar
  • 250ml santan

 CARA MEMASAK:

  1. Untuk menyediakan bahan A. Masak air, gula dan agar-agar hingga larut.
  2. Satukan santan dan tepung jagung, kacau agar tidak bergentel.
  3. Tapiskan dan tuangkan ke dalam agar-agar.
  4. Masak sebentar hingga mendidih.
  5. Angkat dan biarkan suam baru masukkan cendol.
  6. Biarkan ianya keras.
  7. Untuk menyediakan bahan B. Masak air, gula melaka dan agar-agar hingga larut.
  8. Masukkan santan, kacau sebentar.
  9. Akhir sekali, tuangkan keatas lapisan cendol yang telah keras.

 

AGAR-AGAR RINTIK PANDAN

BAHAN-BAHAN:

BAHAN A:

  • 1/2 sudu makan agar-agar serbuk
  • 250ml santan cair
  • 1 sudu makan gula pasir
  • Sedikit pewarna hijau

BAHAN B:

  • 1/2 sudu besar agar-agar
  • 500ml air
  • 100gm gula merah
  • 1 sudu makan tepung kastard campur 2 sudu makan  air
  • 2 helai daun pandan

CARA MEMASAK:

  1. Untuk menyediakan bahan A. Campurkan semua bahan dan masak sehingga mendidih.
  2. Tuangkan ke dalam loyang dan biarkan keras.
  3. Potong kecil-kecil dan biarkan sebentar.
  4. Untuk menyediakan bahan B. Masak air, daun pandan, gula merah dan agar-agar hingga larut. Masukkan tepung kastard.
  5. Masak hingga mendidih.
  6. Angkat dan tuangkan ke dalam loyang yang telah berisi dengan potongan agar-agar tadi.

AGAR-AGAR PERMATA

BAHAN-BAHAN:

  • 10gm serbuk agar-agar
  • 200ml susu cair
  • 400ml  air
  • 150gm  cawan gula pasir
  • 100ml susu pekat
  • Esen vanila
  • Sedikit pewarna

CARA MEMASAK:

  1. Satukan semuanya dan masak hingga mendidih. Ambil tiga senduk dan di tetakkan dalam mangkuk berasingan dan campurkan dengan tiga warna kesukaan anda.
  2. Sejukkan kemudian dipotong dadu.
  3. Panaskan sebentar lebihan agar-agar tadi.
  4. Letakkkan agar-agar yang telah dipotong ke dalam bekas dan tuangkan agar-agar lebihan tadi.

PUDING ROTI COKLAT SUSU

 BAHAN-BAHAN:

  • 8 keping biskut jagung
  • 2 keping roti
  • 300ml susu cair
  • 2 biji telur
  • 1/2  cawan susu pekat
  • 2 sudu besar serbuk koko

CARA MEMASAK

  1. Kisar roti, biskut jagung dan susu cair.
  2. Masukkan telur dan susu pekat. Kisar lagi hingga licin.
  3. Bahagi kepada dua bahagian. Satu bahagian dimasukkan serbuk koko dan satu bahagian dibiarkan warna asal.
  4. Panaskan kukusan dan kukuskan bahagian serbuk koko.
  5. Bila sudah masak, tuangkan pula bahagian yang bewarna asal.
  6. Kukus hingga masak.
  7. Angkat dan sejukkan.

A Simple Trick to Avoid Stirring Natural Peanut Butter

And if you’re one of those Americans who prefer natural nut butter, you know about “the” problem.

The Problem

Non-natural peanut butters often use special oils to help extend shelf life, and stabilize the mixture to prevent separating. But natural nut butters lack the stabilizer (often palm oil, which is high in saturated fat), so the peanut’s own oils separate from the butter itself, especially at warmer temperatures. This separation is called syneresis, which is just a fancy word that means “liquid separating from a solid mixture.”

The liquid isn’t dangerous. Had it not separated from the peanut butter you would’ve eaten it anyway. But it can be annoying. Stirring the liquid back in takes a bunch of elbow grease. And because I’m messy, I always wind up splashing the oils all over the countertop.

If only there was some way to prevent syneresis in the first place! Wait…

The Fix

Store your peanut butter container upside-down.

Yes, it really is that simple. See, the liquids that separate from the solid body of peanut butter rise to the top. Storing it upside-down will force the oils at the top to travel back through the butter, mixing right in themselves. And if the oil all travels to the bottom of the jar, just store it right-side-up until you use it again. Rinse and repeat.

So, when you’re done using peanut butter, keep this simple tip on rotation for easy spreading. Voila!

CARA MEMASAK:

  1. Panaskan kuali dan masukkan sedikit minyak. Tumiskan bawang putih dan bawang merah hingga garing.

  3. Selepas itu masukkan sos cili, sos tomato, pati ayam, kicap manis, kicap masin, kicap pedas, dan sos tiram. Kacau hinnga sebati.

  5. Kemudian masukkan batang sawi, udang dan kucai
  6. Akhir sekali masukkan mi sanggul, sawi dan taugeh. Siap untuk dihidangkan.

So saya kumpul sambal belacan tu buat serunding telur. Makan dengan nasik panas buat pedas-pedas perghhhhh lawan plak ngn ikan masin memang terbaik la. RESIPI SERUNDING TELUR PEDAS

Bahan-bahan:

  • Cili merah
  • Cili api -lagi pedas lagi sedap
  • Belacan
  • Garam sikit
  • Gula sikit
    * semua tumbuk lagi sedap. Sbb nk kurangkan air masa menumis

 

  • Bawang besar 2 biji potong dadu
  • 5 ulas bawang putih cincang
  • Sos tiram 1 sudu besar
  • Asam jawa paste 1 sudu kecik or bleh ganti ngn lemon juice
  • Telur 3-5biji

Cara memasak:

  1. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih sampai kekuningan dengan 1 senduk minyak. Pakai minyak banyak sikit nanti telur tak garing.
  2. Lepas tu masukkan bahan tumbuk. Tumis sampai garing. Kalau kisar jangan guna air banyak, lepas tu tak perlu tambah air.
  3. Masukkan sos tiram dan asam jawa kacau sebati kemuadian pecahkan telur. Goreng sampai telur tu garing dan keluar minyak.
  4. Jika nak kurangkan minyak lepas masak dah siap masak letak atas kitchen towel/ tisu. Siap !

Nota: Kalau tak makan belacan boleh tukar letak ikan bilis tumbuk atau udang kering tumbuk tapi jangan letak banyak sebab akan menghilangkan rasa telur. Saya pernah improvise resipi asal ni letak kentang potong dadu dan tambah lada hitam bagi lagi pedas menyengat pun sedap jugak!

1. Rendam sagu selama sejam. Dah kembang, toskan sekejap.

 

2. Masukkan sagu ke dalam loyang. Tambahkan gula (ikut kemanisan yang disukai) dan masukkan sirap pun ikut tahap mana nak. Kalau nak warna terang,letak lebih Gaul rata.

 

3. Dah siap gaul, sagu akan jadi macam ni. Tak perlu tambah air.

 

4. Panaskan periuk kukusan dan kukus sagu hingga bijinya menjadi berkaca atau berkilat.

 

5. Bila dah siap, tutup api dan sejukkan.

 

6. Potong sagu mengikut saiz yang dikehendaki.

 

7. Gaul dengan kelapa Jika guna kelapa parut tua, kukus seketika. Jika guna kelapa parut muda, tidak perlu kukus. Hanya gaul kelapa dengan sedikit garam sahaja.

 

8. Sedia untuk dinikmati.

So it’s the regularity of doing this over a period of weeks, months, years that produces the changes that you want.”

The Most Meaningful Moments Are the Simple Ones I Spend with My Granddaughter

On my granddaughter’s 21st birthday, I sat with her and her expired driver’s license on a hard wooden bench at the DMV, shifting around to give my bones a rest from time to time. The PA system blasted out numbers —“B92,” “I209”— to summon ticket holders to the desk 
to take an eye test or renew a registration. I felt as though we were at 
a bingo game, waiting for the winning number to be called so we could leap up and collect the prize.

And on that bench, I had a revelation: The seemingly mundane events I’ve shared with my granddaughter were both my adventures and my 
rewards for just showing up. (Don’t miss these ways being a grandparent does wonders for your health.)

I grew up in a suburb of Boston in a house that my immigrant parents bought as the key to a new life for themselves and their four children. 
A vacation for us was a bus trip to Central Square, past the Salvation Army band playing “Amazing Grace” on the corner, then down into the subway for a day trip to Boston 
Common. Even better—a train ride to Carson Beach, shopping bags filled with our version of gourmet delicacies like hard-boiled eggs, wine-­colored beets, and juicy purple plums, followed by the muddy sand sucking at our toes.

I looked forward to these small outings and never 
developed a flair for 
the dramatic vacation. It sounds boring, to seek out the simpler pleasures, but it was not. I have since 
traveled to tropical 
islands, to Europe, and to many of America’s cities. Those trips were refreshing and provided fuel for a retake on life, but they were breaks. I prefer the mainstream of the ordinary.

I like the day trips and the routines of showing up to be the chauffeur for my granddaughter. They foster conversations that make me feel like a mentor. I drive. I make snacks. I offer small excursions. On one trip to the Museum of Fine Arts, we wandered under the Chihuly glass ceiling, 
mesmerized by the audacious colors while looking up until our necks cramped and talking about artists’ lives. On another, we were drawn into the musical instrument room like children following the Pied Piper, hypnotized by the sound of a Mozart sonata played on an antique harpsichord. That day we discussed Mozart’s genius. At a Red Sox night game at Fenway Park, lit up by a thousand bulbs, we sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” ate Fenway Franks with mustard squeezing out of the buns, and talked about the rules of the game.

But the best of times were in the car or the kitchen. We commiserated about a homework assignment, playing the roles of two philosophers discussing the Enlightenment. We had our private book club, reading A Prayer for Owen Meany and typing e-mails in UPPER CASE to mimic the voice of the main character. When Jen was filling out the driver’s license renewal forms, we talked about organ donors and voter registration. (Here’s how you say grandma and grandpa in different languages.)

If I added up all of these irreplaceable, ordinary moments, they would far exceed the time it would take to travel around the world. That makes me think I should be more adventurous and perhaps have a bucket list of experiences, like skydiving or climbing Mount Everest. But that is not who I am. I don’t need those adventures. In the end, it turns out that just showing up is enough for me.

Simple Ways Therapists Treat Depression and Anxiety


Name your feelings

Science has identified exactly how many emotions you can feel—your job is simply to acknowledge them. “Since depression and anxiety can be the result of suppressing feelings over time, I make a point of naming, acknowledging, and accepting negative emotions as they arise,” says Tina Gilbertson, author of Constructive Wallowing: How to Beat Bad Feelings by Letting Yourself Have Them. The Colorado-based psychotherapist has noticed that many people do not give themselves permission to feel bad, even in private. Unfortunately, policing negative emotions can damage both mental and physical health over time. “When you don’t like how you feel about something, instead of trying to change your thoughts, give the feeling a name. For example, ‘I feel envious right now,’ or ‘I’m ashamed of how I handled that,’” Gilbertson says. “It keeps you from building up a backlog of unexpressed feelings, which can fuel depression.”

Light your way to lighter emotions

Kelsey Torgerson, MSW, LCSW, of Compassionate Counseling in St. Louis, often shares with her clients that she experiences seasonal depression. The child and adolescent therapist combats her winter blues with therapy lights. “During the winter, I regularly use a SAD lamp to help with my seasonal affective depression,” she says. “I find that sitting with it in the morning helps with anxiety as well, perhaps because stress and depression can get so linked.” These are the silent signs you could have seasonal depression.

Namaste yourself happy

Therapists know that yoga is more than a method for increasing flexibility; studies have proven that it can reduce depression and anxiety. Using this age-old practice to elevate mood is easy and powerful. “I practice yoga regularly. It helps me burn off my anxious energy, and lets my body and mind re-focus,” Dr. Torgerson explains. Try joining a yoga studio to get the added benefit of socializing with others, another depression buster.

Accept that you can’t fix everything

Your therapist’s job is to remain a neutral source of guidance and support. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t absorb the pain her clients express day in and day out. “Working as a crisis clinician evaluating suicidal and homicidal clients can bring a different perspective to everyday living,” says crisis clinician and life coach Angela Tennyson, MHP, CADC. She regularly sees people in their worst-ever state of mind. “The challenge for me is to know my boundaries and abilities, with the realization that not everything can be fixed,” she explains. “I firmly believe that in order to be an authentic clinician, I must practice what I preach with my own life recommendations to my clients.” Understanding what you can control, and what you are unable to control, can be very freeing. It also provides a pathway to self-forgiveness and understanding. These traits can go a long way toward eliminating depression and alleviating anxiety in the face of adversity.

Nurture yourself first, so you can better give to others

Another of Dr. Tennyson’s tips is to take care of yourself, body and mind, so that you are refreshed and strong enough to take care of those around you. This will help reduce the anxiety you might feel if you think are not “good enough” or the depression that could creep in if you feel overwhelmed or unable to care for those you love. “It is the best thing ever to give yourself and your talents (to others),” Dr. Tennyson says. “However, I have found that if I haven’t given to myself first, I will not have my best to provide.” Her suggestions for self-care include getting enough sleep, spending time with family and pets, having a good laugh, getting a massage, reconnecting with nature, and, of course, lazy pajama days. Another pro-tip: Know when to say no to others.

Learn the lessons of the day before

We all make mistakes, but we often try to forget them out of embarrassment or shame. Dr. Tennyson suggests making an effort to learn from failures and near-misses and deriving insights for the future. “This helps us be the best we can be the following day,” she says. Moving forward from set-backs and embracing the ups and downs of each day can help manage your depression and anxiety. Make sure you avoid these everyday habits that raise your risk of depression.

Channel the power of meditation

Therapist Kareen Puranda, NCC, LPC, LCAS, calls meditation his depression repellant. “None of us are impervious to life stressors,” he says. His meditative practice consists of prayer, affirmations, and controlled breathing. “These actions help me to reset and bring things back into the perspective that works best for me. I can only control my thoughts and behaviors.” he explains. Meditation can heal your body as well as your mind.

Do those healthy things the doctor ordered

Vishal Anilkumar Gandhi, PhD, fights depression and anxiety with healthy habits geared towards keeping the mind occupied and refreshed and the body rejuvenated and nourished. “I exercise daily for 30 to 40 minutes, eat healthy food, avoid junk food, get enough sleep, and do relaxation exercises,” he says, adding that creative hobbies like writing and painting are also important. Medical professionals across multiple fields back up the claims that lifestyle habits, such as healthy eating and exercise, increase the body’s production of natural antidepressants, according to the pros at Healthline. Try eating these foods that are proven to calm anxiety.

Talk it out with a pro

As you might imagine, therapists think therapy works. Many see therapists themselves to process their feelings and experiences. Some types of therapy include counselling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group therapy. If you think working with a therapist can benefit you, approach finding a therapist the same way you would any professional. Do your research, seek out recommendations, read reviews online, and treat your first session as you might a job interview, with you as the interviewer. You’re not required to hire the first therapist you meet with. Find one you think you can trust and feel comfortable with.

Go play

According to child psychiatrist and author Gayani DeSilva, MD, play is the best stress relief. “Adults can take a lesson from children, who use play to work out conflicts, relax, have fun, and reduce worries and stress,” explains Dr. DeSilva, author of A Psychiatrist’s Guide: Helping Parents Reach Their Depressed Tween. She suggests doing something silly to make yourself giggle. “Yodel, make funny faces, do the chicken dance. Act in ways that make you laugh at yourself. This releases endorphins and causes immediate relaxation.” Try getting a wind-up toy for your desk, and wind it up when that feeling of being stressed starts to develop. Getting active by running or playing a game of pick-up basketball can also reduce stress. Keep a journal

Journals don’t judge. They don’t interrupt you while you’re writing or make suggestions that aren’t in your best interest. Keeping a daily journal can help you understand your feelings in real time and reduce depression and anxiety, much of which is based on unresolved feelings and patterns of behavior. According to life coach and author Jackee Holder, daily journal writing can help you track behavioral patterns you might not realize you’re stuck in. Maybe you remember how you loved to belt out or cry to a favorite song when you were a kid. Your therapist remembers too.
